About Our Management Team
Rich Kennelly is the President of Ipswitch's File Transfer division. The goal of the division is to help companies of all sizes to move information (files and messages) between companies, employees, customers, and applications. The value of the Ipswitch File Transfer products is that they ensure the delivery of the information efficiently and securely, while providing visibility and tracking for compliance. The solutions can also automate the delivery of information, as well as validate and transform it. The solutions lead the industry in terms of ease of use, allowing companies of all sizes to take control of their sensitive and vital information, and improve the speed of information flow, without needing expensive consultants to do it.
Rich has a broad technical and business background. Most recently Rich led Akamai's Media Business Unit - responsible for video, software, and object delivery. While in this role, his team launched the all new Akamai HD Network, a completely new delivery platform for Internet video. They also introduced new audience analytics, allowing media customers to understand the quality of experience and viewing habits of their audience. Prior to that, Rich held numerous roles in his 9 year career at Akamai, including VP of Product Management. In that role he helped bring to market enterprise solutions for accelerating business to business and business to consumer sites.
Rich began his career as a software engineer. He helped found ImagineLAN, Inc., a small startup doing network diagnostics. He was also a key software architect and engineering leader at New Oak Communications - credited with creating the industry's first VPN switch. He went on to manage engineering for Nortel's VPN division, after it acquired New Oak.
Rich holds a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Executive Vice President of Global Sales
Tim Corkery is Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Services at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for driving the vision, strategy and focus for the direct and channel sales teams. Tim brings extensive leadership experience implementing high profile programs and initiatives that create competitive advantage and provide market differentiation.
Most recently, Tim was the Senior Vice President Worldwide Sales and Technical Services at eCopy, Inc., responsible for all aspects of worldwide field operations. eCopy was acquired by Nuance in 2009 and Tim led the integration of eCopy into the Nuance Imaging division. At eCopy he built his team from the ground up, recruiting and developing a global team of over 120 people in 10 countries. Before joining eCopy, Tim was Vice President, North American Sales at Dragon Systems. Tim held senior management positions at PC Docs, Eastman Software/Wang Software, Laser Data and NEC Information Systems.
Tim has a BS degree in Business Administration and Computer Science from Merrimack College.
Vice President, Engineering & Cloud Operations
Mark Dudman is Vice President of Engineering & Cloud Operations at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for user experience, product architecture, quality assurance, media and documentation, community management, as well as mobile and cloud operations. Mark is a technology veteran who has a history of launching new companies and products to market. His depth of experience with vision and technology is evident from his role as a Cloud industry thought leader and speaker.
Before joining Ipswitch, Mark was the Executive Vice President of Engineering and Technical Operations at MetraTech. With this role, he globally mana
ged all technical operations within the company. He then moved forward within MetraTech to become Executive Vice President and General Manager of Metanga, responsible for sales, marketing, product development, operations, and community management. This position granted him the responsibility for the Cloud and SaaS thought leadership that led to the creation and P&L of MetraTech’s successful SaaS product line, Metanga.
Mark has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Senior Director, Programs
Cheryl Galvin is Senior Director of Programs at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for the implementation, management, supervision, and evaluation of all Ipswitch programs. Cheryl brings strong leadership and problem solving skills as she builds effective organizations while balancing organizational agility and process discipline.
Before joining Ipswitch, Cheryl spent more than 15 years working for Digital Equipment Corporation as a Group Engineering Manager. Following this position, Cheryl held several engineering director positions within the wireless industry and telecommunications industry, including CSI Netlink, Nortel Networks, AutoCell Labs, and Airvana, where she accumulated a proven track record as a product development leader and successful manager of multimillion-dollar projects.
Cheryl has a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Fitchburg State College and an M.B.A. from Babson College, F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.
Vice President, Product Management
Steve Hess is Vice President of Product Management at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for portfolio management and business strategy. Steve has a broad technical and business background spanning academic research, applied science, product management, and general management.
Most recently, Steve was the Senior Director of Product Management at Avid Technology where he led a team of product managers and designers in the delivery of revolutionary new products for the broadcast-television and film industries. Steve’s teams introduced new Web-based and cloud technologies that help media-driven enterprises manage, create, and share premium content across both traditional and new-media channels.
Prior to Avid, Steve spent a decade in the Application Infrastructure space, including several years at Red Hat, where he ran Product Management for the JBoss Middleware team, and nearly eight years at BEA systems, where he ran Product Management for the WebLogic Server team, through Oracle’s the acquisition of BEA. Steve began his career as a User Experience Designer and Human Factors expert working on the design of real-time decision support systems, eventually transitioning to the software industry, where he focused on tools for administrators, including root-probable-cause diagnostic support.
Steve has a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from Penn State University, and a B.A. degree in Psychology and Economics.
Director, Business Operations and Planning
David Movsesian is Director, Business Operations and Planning at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for driving operational excellence and business process improvements. David brings a wealth of experience in understanding the obstacles facing businesses and identifying and implementing solutions that enable organizations to function more efficiently and effectively.
Before joining Ipswitch, David spent more than 20 years in Sales and Sales Management, primarily in high tech. After leading a successful ERP deployment for Amherst Technologies in 1999, he moved into the role of Director of Sales Operations where he was responsible for providing sales productivity tools, defining and implementing best practices, and overseeing sales reporting.
Most recently, David was a Senior Business Analyst at PC Connection involved in developing the next generation of sales automation tools.
David has a B.A. degree in Journalism from the University of Maine at Orono.
Vice President, Technical Services
Steve Tyman is Vice President, Technical Services at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible
for managing profesional services, technical support, training and solution architects.
Most recently, Steve was the Manager of Development at Ipswitch, responsible for development of the server team and QA for all product lines. He was instrumental in elevating the reliability of the products before they were released to the market. Before joining Ipswitch, Steve was a Technical Manager at Siemens Network Convergence, a telecommunications equipment provider.
Steve has a B.S. degree in Marketing from Merrimack College and a M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
Vice President, Marketing
Jeff is Vice President, Marketing at Ipswitch File Transfer, responsible for all aspects of worldwide marketing – including product marketing, demand generation, online marketing, and PR/ Analyst relations.
Before joining Ipswitch, Jeff served as Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for OutStart, a learning and knowledge company. At OutStart, Jeff helped to establish a dominate market position for their cornerstone learning content management solution, achieve five consecutive years of profitability and more than double revenues, resulting in the company’s successful acquisition by Kenexa in early 2012. Prior to OutStart, Jeff was a senior partner and chief marketing officer for Beacon-Worldwide working with high tech product and services companies to increase their revenue through improved sales and marketing processes. Additionally, Jeff has held vice president of marketing positions with a number of successful software companies, including Servicesoft, Bluestone, and Broadbase Software. At Servicesoft, as vice president of marketing and product management, Jeff helped to lead the company to market leadership and an acquisition by Broadbase Software for $651 million.
Jeff graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics.
