Ipswitch Introduces MOVEit Central Corporate

Proven enterprise-class file transfer workflow platform for SMB and Mid-market businesses

Lexington, MA - June 10, 2009 – Ipswitch, Inc. File Transfer division, the leading developer of secure and managed file transfer solutions, today announces the introduction of MOVEit Central Corporate - a secure managed file transfer workflow solution that can automatically pull, process and push files among all platforms, network architectures, operating systems and protocols. MOVEit Central Corporate uses the core workflow and enterprise-class security capabilities of the company's popular MOVEit Central Enterprise product, but is designed to specifically meet the needs and budgets of SMB and Mid-market organizations.

"Small and medium-size organizations increasingly face the same compliance and corporate governance regulations that large enterprises do, but have lacked reliable, cost-effective solutions for automating and securely transferring the sensitive data covered by such requirements," said Jonathan Lampe, vice president, Research & Development, Ipswitch File Transfer division. "Now IT staff at such organizations can use the enterprise-proven technology in MOVEit Central Corporate to quickly and easily 'click together' file transfers, invoke built-in scheduling and file processing capabilities, and view detailed information on the status of past, current and scheduled transfers" said Lampe. "Organizations that have outgrown file transfer scripting, but are not yet ready for a complex and costly enterprise-level product, will find MOVEit Central Corporate offers an affordable combination of automation, security compliance and flexibility."

Automation
MOVEit Central Corporate workflow capabilities include the native ability to run as many as 20 transfer tasks simultaneously, and have up to a total of 50 pre-configured tasks. It can run each task on a scheduled, event-driven or on-demand basis, and send results-based email alerts. And each task can include automated pre and/or post-transfer file processing using an extensive set of built-in scripts and macros.

Security
MOVEit Central Corporate provides enterprise-level security, including built-in end-to-end file encryption, non-repudiation, and guaranteed delivery. It performs encrypted transfers over SSL (FTPS/HTTPS), SSH (SFTP), SMTP/POP and CIFS. An optional OpenPGP module enables automatic file encryption/decryption and management of up to 10 encryption keys. It includes FIPS 140-2 validated cryptography and a cryptographic, tamper-evident database containing a detailed audit trail and can be used to comply with Basel II, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX and other data privacy and security standards.

Flexibility
MOVEit Central Corporate is quick and easy to deploy. An IT person can typically download and install the software and can create and schedule their first transfer within one hour. It supports a wide variety of transfer protocols and methods, enabling it to move files to and from almost any internal or remote system. It integrates well with existing infrastructure, runs on virtualized platforms, and is backed 24/7 by the world-class Ipswitch MOVEit support staff. And MOVEit Central Corporate can be quickly and easily upgraded to MOVEit Central Enterprise when needs and requirements grow.

Value
MOVEit Central Corporate delivers enterprise-level capabilities at a non-enterprise price, and it can also save organizations time and money by centralizing and automating their transfer activities. It eliminates the need to support different transfer applications, processes, logs and reporting on disparate systems, and it's easy-to-use 'point and click' automation can eliminate the need to write and maintain transfer-related scripts and batch files.
