At Ipswitch, our relationship with our customers doesn't stop with the purchase
of our products. It also involves the opportunity to work with our engineers to
ensure a timely, efficient and successful deployment of our software tailored to
your business needs.
Ipswitch is more than a software company ‐ we're a solution provider. To meet your
specific needs we offer several professional services packages to both new and existing
customers. Our qualified implementation and training consultants work directly with
you to ensure successful deployment and optimum use of Ipswitch File Transfer software.
We offer a portfolio of professional service offerings that cater to the needs of
administrators of MOVEit solutions. All services will be properly scoped out by
an experienced professional service engineer. A Statement of Work will be put together
upon request or if the service calls for one, to ensure that all requirements are
met. Additional time may be billed if a custom course is required to be written
and documented beforehand or if sessions need to be conducted outside of normal
business hours. All Onsite Services must include two days’ worth of work and can
consist of any of the offerings defined below.
Ipswitch File Transfer Professional Services for MOVEit Solutions
Administrator Training (Two Hour Session)
Summary: The "Administrator Training" service allows your system administrators
or support personnel to attend a remote two hour customer specific training session
with an experienced engineer; discussing the following items within each of the MOVEit products:
MOVEit DMZ
- Overview of the Server.
- Cover how to build users, folders, and groups and what features can be used.
- Discuss how to view and manage the different reporting options.
- Cover the ways to build the system to align with industry best practices.
MOVEit Central
- Overview of the Server.
- Cover how to build hosts and tasks and what features can be used.
- Cover the different built in scripts and how you can add your own.
- Discuss how to view and manage the different reporting options.
Administrators will also gain access to our E-Learning portal where they will find
a comprehensive source of knowledge for all operational and technical aspects of
our products.
The "System Implementation" service allows your system administrators or support
personnel to work up to three hours via WebEx with our experienced engineers assisting
with:
MOVEit DMZ:
- Kick-Off Call – Discuss implementation plan, pre requisites and timeline.
- Installation – Install MOVEit DMZ software on a dedicated unhardened Windows 2008
Server.
- Initial Configuration – Perform the initial configuration of the new MOVEit DMZ
organization.
- Tune and Harden the Server – Per our knowledge base articles.
- Setup Automated Backup Process – Configure MOVEit DMZ automated backup process to
assist with restore and disaster recovery.
MOVEit Central:
- Kick-Off Call – Discuss implementation plan, pre requisites and timeline.
- Installation – Install MOVEit Central software on a dedicated unhardened Windows
2008 Server.
- Tune and Harden the Server – Per our knowledge base articles.

Maintenance Services
System Health Check
Summary: The "System Health Check" service allows your system administrators to
work, up to three hours, with our experienced engineers to:
- Evaluate your system's resource capacity and utilization.
- Provide recommendations for best practices to more effectively utilize the system
for future deployment.
- Provide recommendations for hardware and network enhancements to improve performance.
- Check backups, DR procedures and operational alerts.
- Make recommendations on ways to take advantage of unused functionality.
Consulting Services
Summary: The "Consulting Session" service allows you to work with our experienced
engineers to:
- Upgrade the environment to the latest hardware and/or software versions.
- Migrate legacy file transfer systems over to the MOVEit software.
- Go over advanced training and configuration of specific business requirements.
- Plan or design the architecture for a future deployment (Firewall, Networking, Routing,
etc.).
- Plan out work flows and business processes.
- Perform a well-defined task such as "clean up old users" or "set up a process that
moves (X) files from the (Y) folders" together.
- Custom Coding Solution – pricing subject to change based on resource requirement.
- Custom API Application Development – pricing subject to change based on resource
requirement.
