Ipswitch’s WS_FTP Professional And WS_FTP Home Support Microsoft Windows 7

Lexington, MA – November 17, 2009 – Ipswitch File Transfer division, a developer of comprehensive secure and managed file transfer solutions, today announced the launch of WS_FTP Professional and WS_FTP Home version 12.2, which supports Microsoft Windows 7 operating system in both 32-bit and 64-bit modes.

The release of WS_FTP Professional 12.2 and WS_FTP Home 12.2 also include:

  • Improved Interface: Several usability improvements have been made to the user interface, including new toolbar icons; customizable display options that apply evenly to all visible controls; and availability of the licensing application in the German language.
  • Enhanced SSL Performance: SSL sessions can now be reused, resulting in improved interoperability and resource efficiency.
  • Ensured Security: Now digitally signed by Ipswitch, enabling users and organizations to ensure the validity, integrity, and safety of their desktop applications.

In conjunction with the release of Windows 7, Ipswitch File Transfer is proud to announce that it is a Microsoft Certified Partner due to its expertise in working with Microsoft technologies. “We have ten Microsoft-certified individuals on staff and most hold multiple certifications,” said Jonathan Lampe, vice president, R&D. “Our status allows us to get earlier access to Microsoft software and more training so we can focus on building security solutions to protect a customer’s information assets related to security policy management, governance, compliance and operations,” said Lampe.
