Ipswitch File Transfer develops highly secure, flexible and robust secure and managed file transfer solutions backed by exceptional support, delivering excellent value to all segments of the market, from individuals up through SMB's to enterprise-level corporations and government agencies.
Division Description
Ipswitch File Transfer (FT) is responsible for developing, selling and supporting the company’s well-known lines of secure and managed file transfer software. These products provide a comprehensive set of solutions used around the world by tens of thousands of small, medium and large companies, government agencies and educational institutions – as well as by millions of individuals.
In 2008 the FT division's sales increased 65% year-over-year, enabling it to achieve its 79th consecutive quarter of profitability. That same year the division was named a Gartner Magic Quadrant "Visionary" for its MOVEit managed file transfer solutions. FT has approximately 75 employees at its US offices in Lexington, Massachusetts, Madison, Wisconsin and Augusta, Georgia, as well as in the United Kingdom and Europe. The division’s products are sold worldwide via e-commerce, a direct sales staff, and through distributors, resellers and OEMs.

- File Transfer is responsible for the MOVEit® and WS_FTP products, which enable people and organizations to securely transmit data over their networks and the Internet.
- Messaging is responsible for the IMail Server software, which provides solid, scalable, standards-based email and IM services with Web-based access and administration.
- Network Management is responsible for the WhatsUp Gold products, which monitor applications, servers, devices, services and network resources to maximize availability.
