MessageWay Server: Integrator Component
Retrieving shipping notices from suppliers half way around the globe is a job half done. Delivering those notices to divisional IT centers – decrypted, decompressed, scanned for viruses, properly formatted, and at exactly the right time – is the other half. A file transfer function that fails to accommodate disparate application requirements behind the firewall can create more problems than it solves.
The "Integrator" component of the MessageWay Server integrates all of these business processes in a single, centralized application, and employs several customizable, industry-standard interfaces that provide Web portals and legacy applications with access to core MessageWay services.
Lightweight Customizable Interfaces for Rapid Integration
Integrator allows for the configuration of custom services and adapters that allow scheduling, execution, and monitoring of any proprietary or third-party application from a single centralized dashboard.
Standardized Interfaces for Application Interoperability
Integrator employs industry-standard XML, JAVA, and C-based API interfaces that provide enterprise applications access to core MessageWay services and data repository. With simple request/response syntax, an application can submit or retrieve files, and inquire about the status of processing, file delivery, or data content.
No Impact on Existing Process Flows
Introducing an AFS solution into your IT environment should not require taking on unnecessary cost and risk to redevelop critical processes. Integrator enables you to incorporate existing flows using customizable services and adapters, thus avoiding risk and accelerating time to implementation.
Reduce Exception Process Management
Even with predefined trade agreements, the quality of inbound B2B files can be unpredictable. Integrator provides tools that enable you to interrogate file constructs, parse file content, and, if necessary, apply validation rules to incoming files. Integrator also allows you to minimize database rollbacks and job reruns caused by compromised inbound files.
Reusable Custom Services
The open architecture of Integrator allows enterprise applications to invoke commercial, off-the-shelf processes such as virus detection, PDF generation, and more, enhancing the value of all applications in the enterprise. In addition, custom applications and scripts can be developed to handle complex processes such as database extracts/loads and application-level validation. Scripts are accessible and reusable for other applications on the network.
